The first time I thought it was just a rare storm. After it happened again the very next day I resolved to try to dodge them by saving before sleeping. The third one I dodged by doing that and then reseting on waking. Luckily I wasn't growing many crops, but still, it's crazy destructive for how often it can occur. Luckily it's an unscripted event.
